Welcome to the Champaign Church of Christ’s “Bible in a Year” Reading Plan.
As we’re just getting started, all the bells and whistles planned for the future aren’t here yet, but nevertheless, we’re off and running on this great journey. The Bible Gateway folks call this “the incredible privilege and adventure of reading through the Bible cover to cover.” They are correct.
If you have never done this before, stay with us and we will help you work through all the pitfalls the devil has in mind for you, ‘cause he sure wants us to fail in this activity. After just a short time, we hope you will [again] fall in love with God’s word.
After much discussion and advice, we chose an Old Testament plus New Testament reading format. For those of you getting the weekly readings on Sunday morning via printed hardcopy, and for those getting email, the listing will be seven sets of scriptures. Because of character limitations, those receiving text scriptures to their phones will get only one scripture set each day.
Below are the scriptures for this week. We will be continuing to work on how we deliver the scriptures to all of you, but for now, have a great week of starting to read the bible with nearly 100 of your fellow Champaign Church brothers and sisters and friends!
