Our brother, Rick Maule retired as the evangelist of the Groton, CT church and finished a very long and successful career as leader in various churches in the U.S. Rick was and continues to be a most zealous supporter of the EMS.  After retiring from the ministry, Rick wrote a fascinating book (historical fiction) about an African American hero of the American Civil War. “Moonlight Helmsman”. So far his book has received 5 different national awards for Historical Fiction, Africa American Literature, and Best New Novel. God continues to bless the book and Rick as the book will soon be sold in the Smithsonian's new African American Museum bookstore. The international law firm of Alston and Bird is having Rick down to speak at their annual Diversity Conference in Atlanta in February and the Hartford CT school system is using the book during Black History Month in 2018.    I believe one of the reasons God is blessing Rick and this book so much (other than it is a great read) is that Rick has pledged to raise up to $20,000 for the EMS through the sale of the book!!! So far he has already generated over $16,000 for the EMS.  Go to Amazon.com and get a copy of the great read and help Rick help Missions!!!
