SOMETHING NEW!!!!!  There will be a meeting next Sunday at the building at 6 PM for all those who would like to help with the Pre-Teen Lock in.

We need Chaperones, cooks, cleaning and medical staff. Our goal is it have enough volunteers that no one would have to serve for more than a 4 hour shift. Please come to our meeting to see what it is all about. Just because you come doesn't mean you are automatically volunteered ... but once you hear of the crazy things we got planned, you'll wanna sign up. See you there!!!

A new set of Bible Classes will be starting April 2nd at 9:30 AM. There will be 2 Classes. 1) will be taught by Ron and Patty Cochran and will be teaching and training for parents who have grade school aged children.  2) The second class  will be taught by Kirk and is entitled The Time Between the Testaments: Jews, Greeks, and Torah. The time between the testaments was difficult for God’s people, as the world around them changed dramatically. This world that was often difficult and sometimes dangerous for observant Jews to live in. They suffered and struggled with their faith. But many of God’s people persevered and refused to be complacent, and God used them to set the stage for Jesus’ coming and the spread of Jesus’ movement. This class will highlight the historical movements and ways of thinking of this era, as well as the faithfulness of God’s people. It will inspire you with God’s control of history. It will deepen and rejuvenate your New Testament reading with greater context.  And it will challenge you to examine your own complacency and partnership with the world we live in, with the example of those who have gone before you.

Spiritual Discovery  Ministry Starting!!!

"If you've ever said: Why can't I overcome my anger? Why do I feel like I have no control? Why do I feel guilty all the time? Why can't I change?"   As Christians, we can struggle again and again with the same thing, not realizing that our struggle is rooted in what we believe about ourselves, God or others.  Our deeply held beliefs may actually be lies that we accepted as truth at some point in our past.  These lies can become strongholds in our lives and lead to discouragement, codependency, bad habits and addiction.   Two couples from our church, Kevin and Jane Kuppler and Dave and Lisa Miller, will be leading a group through the "Spiritual Discovery" Bible study which will help identify what you believe and discover the truth that will demolish strongholds in your life.  The Kupplers and Millers have personally realized their need for this study and are using its 7 Principles for Spiritual Growth to examine their own beliefs about God.   If you would like more information or are interested in being part of this group, women should contact Jane or Lisa and men should contact Kevin or Dave.  cKevin's contact number is (217) 621-9249 and Jane's is (217) 621-4903. Dave's number is (217)621-3996. Lisa's number is (217)390-6940.  This group will begin meeting on a weekly basis as soon as it can be organized."
